Resources
Use these AstroCarto resources to choose tools, understand map evidence, inspect methods and examples, find another calculator, or check product policies. Choose the question you need answered next. A concept guide, a worked report, and a calculator have different jobs; you do not need to read them all before using your map.
Which resource helps me choose a tool?
Start with the task you want the tool to perform and the platform you need. A broad directory helps you explore; a named comparison helps when you already have a particular product in mind.
| Your question | Resource | What to use it for |
|---|---|---|
| How does AstroCarto compare with a particular product? | Compare AstroCarto | Choose a brand comparison around maps, city research, interpretations, and the next action you need. |
| What kinds of astrocartography tools are available? | Astrocartography tools | Find the appropriate tool category before narrowing a product choice. |
| Do I want a phone app or a browser workflow? | App selection guide | Consider platform, map interaction, city tools, and access in the context of your own research. |
| Do I need browser, Mac, or Windows software? | Software selection guide | Compare the work you need to complete after generating a chart, including location research and reports. |
| I am already considering Solar Fire | Solar Fire workflow guide | Examine its location-research workflow and where an AstroCarto city check, comparison, or report can continue the task. |
A product-selection guide does not resolve a particular numerical disagreement. If two maps differ, first use the comparison checks in the methods section below, then return to the question of which workflow fits you.
Where can I learn what I am seeing on the map?
Choose the concept that is preventing you from reading your current result. Keep the planet, angle, selected point, and displayed evidence beside the explanation.
| You need… | Resource | What to take back to your result |
|---|---|---|
| A route through the main concepts | Astrocartography guides | Select the topic you need rather than treating the knowledge library as a mandatory course. |
| A sequence for reading a map | How to read your map | Read a real location, identify the nearby signals, and relate the evidence to a question. |
| Help understanding a distance | Line distance | Identify what the distance measures and how to use proximity alongside the other evidence. |
| Help identifying a glyph or angle label | Map symbols | Identify the planet and angle before interpreting colour or line appearance. |
| Help with a two-planet latitude band | Paran lines | Distinguish a planetary pairing and its latitude band from an ordinary single-planet line. |
| A book for your current learning level | Book selection guide | Choose introductory or deeper study material by reading purpose, then apply the concepts to your own map. |
Understanding a symbol or a general planetary meaning is a step toward interpretation. The next check is whether that evidence actually appears for the person, place, and question you are studying.
Where can I check the method and see a worked result?
Use Compare astrocartography maps when two results appear inconsistent. It starts with matching inputs and result types, then separates display, method, and interpretation differences.
| What you want to check | Resource | What the example or explanation establishes |
|---|---|---|
| How inputs become calculated evidence and interpretations | Calculation method | Follow the stages of the AstroCarto workflow and the limits of the result. |
| What a complete Personal Report looks like | Personal Report example | Inspect the published synthetic sample's conclusions, city evidence, trade-offs, and report structure. It is not your personal result or evidence of a customer outcome. |
| How to read one named city's nearby lines | Check a city | Follow a same-city example and separate a proximity label from a final location decision. |
| How candidate discovery relates to a goal and region | Find best places | Follow the discovery example, supported search scope, and checks before keeping a candidate. |
| How a chosen shortlist is compared | Compare cities | Read the worked comparison's order, support, cautions, and selected-city scope. |
| How to read two people's location evidence | Shared places | Keep shared findings and each person's support and cautions together. |
| How to read timing for a selected city | Find a time to move | Inspect timing windows and limitations while keeping the city and goal fixed. |
Use a sample for the mode it demonstrates. A Personal Report sample cannot stand in for a shared-place result, and a timing example does not rank all destinations. Replace the sample's inputs and findings with your own before using its research-note structure.
Which calculator or product page belongs to my next question?
These calculators study different objects. Keep the intended person's birth details, and prepare a second person's details or a target date only when that tool needs them.
| Question or object | Calculator or page | How it connects to place research |
|---|---|---|
| The person's birth chart | Birth chart calculator · Natal chart | Establish the natal context rather than replacing the birthplace with a destination. |
| Ascendant at birth | Rising sign calculator | Explore the birth Ascendant; this is distinct from changing the location in a relocated chart. |
| A solar return | Solar return chart | Investigate the return-chart question rather than treating it as a city-ranking output. |
| A selected date's transits | Transit chart calculator | Examine a date-related chart; it is a different object from the natal astrocartography map. |
| Two people's chart relationship | Synastry chart calculator | Compare the charts; use shared-place research when the actual task is investigating common destinations. |
| A composite relationship chart | Composite chart calculator | Explore that relationship-chart object, which differs from comparing two individual location readings. |
| A birth chart relocated to a destination | Relocation chart calculator | Keep the birth moment and change the destination; check the displayed chart method when comparing houses. |
| How a location reading works | Astrocartography Reader | Explore the place-reading workflow and how to continue from a map point. |
| The Personal Report product | Astrocartography Report | Understand the report's scope before requesting a document for your own input. |
| Product changes | Updates | Check product information alongside the version and access message in your current result. |
If your task spans several steps, use Guides to choose a workflow. If you already know the feature you want, use Features for its instructions.
Where do I check data, usage, purchases, or support?
Use the formal page for the question below. A tutorial explains a workflow; it does not replace the applicable policy or a review of a specific account issue.
| Question | Page | What to look for |
|---|---|---|
| How personal information is handled | Privacy policy | The relevant data-handling explanation for the service. |
| Conditions for using the service | Terms of service | The conditions applicable to your use. |
| Refund conditions | Refund policy | The applicable conditions, followed by support for a particular purchase question. |
| A result or account issue remains unresolved | Contact support | Describe the action, message, input or record involved, and what you already checked. |
When you are ready to apply a concept to a location, generate your map with the intended input. Keep the original question attached to the result so the next resource answers a real remaining need.
