AstroCarto vs Astro-Seek for Astrocartography
Start with AstroCarto if you are choosing where to live or travel and want a shortlist, a city comparison, and explanations you can follow up on. It connects your astrocartography map to personal reports and AI questions, helping you understand which places deserve attention and what you would gain or give up.
Both AstroCarto and Astro-Seek offer maps and relocation charts. Astro-Seek provides chart settings for your own astrological research. AstroCarto carries your location questions through candidate discovery, detailed comparisons, shared-place research, and moving dates—the workflow this comparison focuses on.

AstroCarto or Astro-Seek: which should you pick?
Choose AstroCarto to turn location research into a plan
For choosing between real destinations, we recommend starting with AstroCarto. Suppose you are considering Paris, Berlin, and Lisbon for your career. Compare Cities brings their calculated support and cautions into one ordered result, while a cross-goal matrix lets you check other priorities. A Full AI City Comparison Report explains the city-by-city trade-offs and next checks, with a PDF you can return to.
If you have no shortlist, Find My Best Places ranks candidates by goal and region. A Personal Astrocartography Report brings priority places, city deep dives, evidence, and five life themes together; AI follow-up lets you ask why a place ranks highly or how conflicting signals affect the reading. When a partner or a moving date is part of the decision, the shared-place and timing tools let you continue that research.
Choose Astro-Seek for map settings and chart research
Astro-Seek fits readers who prefer to work directly with map projections, planetary filters, angles, houses, and aspects. Its relocation charts and related calculators provide material for that research. For a goal-based shortlist and explanations organized around your city choices, start with AstroCarto.

Astro-Seek
The map, relocation chart, ASC & MC Finder, chart interpretations, and PNG export used here were accessible without signing in or paying.
Interface: researching the same city
Our example uses fictional birth details—January 15, 1990, at 12:00 in London—to research Paris alongside Berlin and Lisbon. The useful question is how each interface helps you understand a place and compare it with your other options.
AstroCarto
Generate your map, then add Paris, Berlin, and Lisbon to Compare Cities and select Career & recognition. The result puts their order, supporting signals, and cautions together. You can identify the clearest support, see where the picture is mixed, and use the cross-goal matrix to examine other priorities.
Continue into a Full AI City Comparison Report for the reasoning behind the result, then ask follow-up questions with the comparison context attached. If you want to investigate one city first, Check City and In-Depth Location Readings let you examine its nearby signals before comparing it with alternatives.
Astro-Seek
Select a point on the map or enter a destination in its Relocation Chart calculator. The result presents that location's chart wheel, angles, houses, aspects, and interpretations. To research Paris alongside other cities, use their individual charts as your comparison material.

The AstroCarto screenshot shows Paris, Lisbon, and Berlin together, with Paris identified as the clearest support and Lisbon as the most mixed. That gives you a concrete starting point for investigating the trade-offs. The Astro-Seek screenshot shows the individual Paris chart used for chart-based research.
Features: what happens after you find a place?
AstroCarto
Find My Best Places turns a goal and region into a ranked shortlist of up to ten cities, with line evidence and trade-offs for each candidate. You can use those reasons to narrow the places worth investigating, then bring two to four realistic options into Compare Cities for a closer comparison around the same goal.
For a closer reading, a Full AI City Comparison Report explains the selected cities and their trade-offs. A Personal Astrocartography Report has a broader scope: priority places, city deep dives, five life themes, an interactive evidence map, and checks on birth-time and house-system sensitivity. Both report types have a PDF output. With a completed personal report attached, you can ask AI why a place ranks highly or which conflicting signals deserve attention.
The complete personal report example makes the reasoning visible. Orlando leads the overall place portfolio, and the report explains both its supporting Jupiter ASC evidence and its caution or conflict signals. Its Mixed assessment shows the trade-offs within a leading candidate, giving you specific evidence to inspect and questions to ask before narrowing your shortlist. This is a separate synthetic example from the Paris comparison above.
When another person or a moving date matters, the workflow continues. Find the Best Places for Two People shows shared benefits and each person's challenges. Best Time to Move takes a city and goal and returns date windows with explanations and cautions, so you can research both the place and the timing.
Astro-Seek
Astro-Seek provides relocation-chart interpretations and related tools for relationship and timing research. Synastry focuses on planetary relationships between two people; transit and electional calculators examine astrological timing. These serve chart-level questions rather than the same shared-city assessment or city-and-goal calendar shown here.
For AI follow-up, its data-export tool gives you positions, houses, and aspects to take into a separate AI conversation. AstroCarto attaches calculated map or completed-report context within the product, so you can continue directly from the location result you are reading.
Create your astrocartography map
Have your birth date, birth time, and birth city ready. Generate your map, then use its tools to check a city, build a shortlist, compare places, or create a report. For shared-place research, add the second person’s birth details; for moving dates, choose a city and goal.

- “Paris, Berlin, or Lisbon—and what would I gain or give up?” Create your map, add the three cities to Compare Cities, and choose your goal. Open a Full AI City Comparison Report for the reasoning and next checks behind the result.
- “Where could work for both me and my partner?” Create your map, open Find the Best Places for Two People, and add the second person's birth details. Examine shared support alongside each person's cautions.
- “I have chosen a city. When should I investigate moving?” Create your map, open Best Time to Move, and select the city and goal. Review the date windows and cautions alongside your actual work, housing, and travel constraints.
Frequently asked questions
How is a personal report different from a city comparison?
Compare Cities organizes two to four places you choose around one goal; its Full AI City Comparison Report expands the reasoning for those cities. A Personal Astrocartography Report brings priority places, detailed city assessments, five life themes, and an evidence map into a broader report. Choose based on whether you are comparing a fixed shortlist or researching a wider location picture.
Do I need an Astro-Seek chart to use AstroCarto?
No. Start with your own birth date, time, and birthplace in AstroCarto. The workflow shown here creates a new map from those details; it does not transfer the chart or saved places from Astro-Seek.
Why might the maps or readings look different?
Check birth time, time zone, place coordinates, and the kind of result you are comparing. For relocation charts, check the house system: AstroCarto's calculator uses Whole Sign, while the Astro-Seek example here uses Placidus. For maps, Astro-Seek offers Mundo, Zodio, planetary, and Paran settings. A difference in houses, line distances, or interpretations alone does not establish an error.
How does AI use my chart or report?
AstroCarto can attach calculated map evidence or a completed personal report to follow-up questions, so you can ask about specific rankings, support signals, and conflicts. Astro-Seek exports chart data as text for use in a separate AI tool. Neither workflow makes the interpretation a guarantee of what will happen in a place.
Where should I start if I have no candidate cities yet?
In AstroCarto, choose a goal and region in Find My Best Places to build a ranked shortlist with reasons and cautions. In Astro-Seek, explore the world map or use ASC & MC Finder when you have rising and Midheaven signs in mind. One starts from a goal and region, the other Finder starts from astrological sign choices.
Which should I use if I already have several candidate cities?
Start with AstroCarto's Compare Cities to organize two to four places around the same goal, then open a Full AI City Comparison Report for the evidence and trade-offs behind the ranking. You can ask follow-up questions about the result and keep the report as a PDF. This gives your shortlist a structured basis for further research alongside your practical constraints.
