What is home line astrology in astrocartography?
The phrase home line astrology is a search phrase more than a strict technical label. Most astrocartography systems do not have one separate button called “Home Line.” In practice, people usually mean the lines and locations that describe home, roots, privacy, family background, emotional belonging, and the feeling of settling somewhere.
The main technical starting point is the IC line. IC stands for Imum Coeli, the bottom angle of the chart. It is associated with roots, private life, family background, foundations, ancestry, and what happens away from public view. When someone asks for their astrocartography home line, the IC angle is usually the first place to look. For a deeper technical explanation, use the IC angle guide.
That does not mean every IC place is automatically easy, safe, or ideal. The planet on the IC matters. A Moon IC line may feel emotionally familiar. A Venus IC line may feel comfortable or beautiful. A Saturn IC line may feel serious, permanent, or heavy. A Pluto IC line may bring deeper inner work. The line describes the home theme being emphasized, not whether a city is automatically the right place to live.
