TimePassages Astro Maps and Planetary Lines
TimePassages Astro Maps display planetary lines across a zoomable world map. The desktop manual identifies AS, DS, MC, and IC lines: the places where planets were rising, setting, or at the upper or lower meridian at your birth. This gives you a geographic way to explore the natal chart.
A region can catch your attention before you know which city makes sense. For example, you may notice a line near a coastline while planning a trip, but your actual options are two towns connected to different airports. A broad view does not tell you whether both towns are equally close to that line, or whether another nearby line changes the question.
Create your AstroCarto map using your original birth details, then open Check City for the destination you are considering. Review the visible planet, angle, approximate distance, and strength together. The result helps you distinguish a close signal from wider regional context before spending time interpreting a line for the wrong place. Keep travel access and accommodation choices alongside that reading; the map does not calculate them.
TimePassages Point-and-Click Interpretations
TimePassages already provides point-and-click line readings through its Astro Maps interpretation add-on. On the desktop product, you can open a chart and choose Astro Maps from the Display menu. Reading a line this way is useful when you want to understand the planetary theme you have selected.
The question becomes more specific when several themes meet your plans. Suppose a destination attracts you for a quiet month away, but the lines you are reading describe both public activity and private life. Knowing each definition is a starting point; you still want to understand which findings relate to the kind of stay you intend.
In AstroCarto, check that city first so your follow-up refers to its calculated signals. Open Ask AI from the city result and ask how the visible angles relate to a quiet stay, or which finding deserves closer attention. The conversation receives the AstroCarto city evidence, helping you connect the line meanings to one place and one question. It does not import or interpret your TimePassages report, and AI access has its own usage limits.
TimePassages Relocated Charts
TimePassages also supports relocated charts. Its desktop manual describes a separate Relocate Chart command that takes a destination and displays the relocated Ascendant and house placements. This answers a different question from looking at lines across a world map: what changes in the chart at this particular place?
If you have narrowed your plans to one city and want to examine those changes in a browser, use AstroCarto’s Relocation Chart Calculator. Enter your birth information and destination separately, then read the natal-versus-relocated house table and Ascendant. This makes it clear which placements changed before you begin interpreting them.
AstroCarto’s relocation calculator uses Whole Sign houses. TimePassages offers several house systems, so check the system and birth details before comparing house placements. In this page’s map form, Birth Location means your actual birthplace; choose the destination in the result. The map form does not create a relocated chart by replacing your birthplace.
When you still have several possible destinations, a house table for one city leaves a different task open: comparing those choices under the same goal. Use Compare Cities after generating your map to investigate that shortlist, rather than treating one changed house as a complete answer about where to move.
TimePassages Astro Maps Access and Requirements
Point-and-click Astro Maps interpretations require a paid Astro Maps Add-on license for TimePassages Standard or Advanced Edition on desktop. The official feature list distinguishes map display from these optional interpretations. Check your edition’s included licenses before purchasing the add-on separately.
These requirements apply to the desktop add-on. For mobile features and plans, see the TimePassages mobile product page. AstroCarto’s form on this page runs independently in your browser and does not require a TimePassages license or installation.

Compare Cities Around the Same Question
A map can reveal places that interest you, but your eventual choices may be much narrower. If your employer allows a transfer to two offices and staying put is also possible, those three cities form a useful comparison. You are investigating an actual career choice, rather than looking for the highest-rated place anywhere in the world.
After generating your AstroCarto map, open Compare Cities, add two to four candidates, and select one goal. Including your current city gives you a reference point. Read the support, caution, and contributing planetary lines for each option before interpreting the order. A place with a stronger career result may still raise questions you want to examine for home life separately.
The comparison uses all calculated planetary lines, while Check City describes the lines visible on your map. If an unfamiliar planet appears in the comparison, first check that difference in scope. AstroCarto’s ranking is its own goal-based analysis; it is not a TimePassages score or a conversion of a TimePassages interpretation.
If two places rank closely, inspect what contributes to each result instead of treating a small difference as decisive. Ask AI from the comparison to discuss those findings with the selected goal and city evidence attached. Your practical research may still distinguish the options: housing, work arrangements, and family needs are not included in the location score.
If you have no shortlist yet, Find My Best Places can help you explore candidates by goal and region. Bring the places you could realistically choose back into the same comparison. The useful outcome is a set of specific findings to investigate, not a promise that a city will produce a particular life.
The core map is free without sign-in. City checks and comparisons have a limited free allowance; some planetary lines, reports, and advanced features require paid access. Check the requirements shown for the action you choose.

TimePassages Astrocartography FAQ
Answers about TimePassages Astro Maps, desktop add-ons, and checking places with AstroCarto.
Does TimePassages have astrocartography maps?
Yes. Its desktop Astro Maps show planetary angular lines on a zoomable world map. The official desktop feature list and Astro Maps Add-on page explain the map and interpretation options. This page’s interactive form generates an independent AstroCarto map.
Are TimePassages Astro Maps interpretations free?
No. The desktop Astro Maps interpretation add-on is a paid product and requires TimePassages Standard or Advanced Edition. Check whether your purchase already includes its license. AstroCarto’s core map here is free; city checks and comparisons have a limited free allowance, while AI and advanced actions have their own access requirements.
Which platform is the TimePassages Astro Maps Add-on for?
The Astro Maps Add-on described here is for TimePassages Standard or Advanced Edition on desktop. For the app’s features and plans, see the official mobile product page. You can generate an AstroCarto map directly in your mobile browser using the form on this page.
Why might TimePassages and AstroCarto show different results?
Start by checking the birth date, local birth time, birthplace, and the exact destination. Match the planet and angle before comparing line readings. For relocated houses, check the house system too. A city ranking adds AstroCarto’s selected goal and scoring method, so it should not be read as an equivalent of a TimePassages line interpretation.
Can I create a map without knowing my birth time?
AstroCarto lets you mark the birth time as unknown, but angles and precise location readings depend on that input. Treat an uncertain-time map as exploratory, not a precise city recommendation. Some advanced tools require an exact birth time.
Can AstroCarto open my TimePassages chart file?
This page does not import TimePassages files or connect to an AstroGraph account. Enter your birth details to create a new AstroCarto map. AstroCarto is independent of TimePassages and AstroGraph; use their official service for software purchases, activation, or account support.
